Dispatcher / Scheduler
Handi-Lift is hiring a full-time Dispatcher/Scheduler to coordinate daily transportation services. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient routing, on-time performance, and excellent customer service.
This position has the opportunity to transition into a work-from-home (remote) role after training is completed.
Job Type
Full-time
8-hour shifts
Schedule
Monday–Friday (or specify if different)
Shift times vary between 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
Schedule and dispatch drivers using RouteGenie software
Plan and adjust daily routes for efficiency and timeliness
Communicate with drivers throughout the day
Monitor trips and respond to delays or issues in real time
Provide customer support via phone and messaging
Maintain accurate scheduling and trip records
Qualifications
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer proficiency required
Experience with dispatching or routing software (RouteGenie preferred, not required)
Ability to work independently (especially in a remote setting)

Driver Minimum Requirements:
Seeking dependable individual to work full-time.
Valid Wisconsin State driver’s license.
Ability to drive van over an 8-hour plus shift in a safe and professional manner.
Must be comfortable working with diverse group of clients.
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to interact with clients, facility staff and other employees.
Must have CPR certification or be willing to obtain.
Must pass drug test & background checks.
Must have Defensive Driving certification or be willing to obtain.
Duties:
Assisting with transferring patients from home to facility, facility to facility, or facility to home.
Following directions and the ability to read and use map software accurately.
Performing all related duties as assigned, including transporting patients in a safe and professional manner.
Communicating with dispatch to receive relevant data and instructions.
Professional behavior and attitude towards customers, visitors, and coworkers.
Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to always follow safety protocols.
